Terrorism:A strategy of random acts of violence meant to strike fear in a whole populations in order to undercut morale, break solidarity and weaken resolve. Politically, ideologically or psychologically motivated murder that falls outside the convention of war, but is perceived by its perpetrators as legitimate in view of circumstances.
